where websites come to life
I designed and developed a complete brand identity and website for The Cherry Grove, starting with nothing but a logo and a rough concept.
From there I built everything: researched the target market, developed the brand voice and messaging, wrote all site copy, and designed a fully responsive Squarespace site from scratch.
Key highlights:
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT - conducted research to craft a compelling narrative for the company, including its mission, products and audience.
WEBSITE DESIGN - bringing the brand to life through a clean, professional, and user-friendly website layout.
CREATIVE VISION - designing every aspect of the site from scratch to align with the provided logo and imagined brand identity.
TECHNICAL SKILLS - building the site using Squarespace, ensuring it was responsive and accessible across devices.

Andy came to me with a brand new barber shop, a big personality, and no website. I came back with a fully original Squarespace build that had clients walking through his door within 24 hours of launch.
I started by leading him through domain exploration and a competitive analysis, then built a site with no template presets left untouched.
It was a collaborative effort, combining my design skills, with Andy’s passion for barbering. By working together, we were able to create a website that reflects the unique character of Mighty Fraser Barber Company.
The original template did not match the client’s unique and authentic character, nor did it match my mission for bringing personalized service to every client.
I chose to instead create a site that was configured to have none of the presets left unchanged and the result being completely original.
One of the primary challenges was to create a website that was both visually appealing and easy to navigate, even for users who may not be tech-savvy, across all platforms. To address this, I employed a minimalist design approach focusing on clear typography and intuitive user interface elements— while not losing the special branding aspects.
Throughout this design process, I actively sought feedback from the client to ensure the website aligned with his vision. This collaborative approach allowed me to make necessary adjustments and refine the design to meet his specific needs.
“Dawn was absolutely fantastic to work with. She listened to every one of my suggestions and implemented the changes without second-guessing me. She offered constructive productive suggestions that I found to be very helpful. I feel that she is going to excel in this new career and I look forward to working with her more in the future.”
